Costa Food Group, the meat holding company pertaining to Grupo Empresarial Costa, is coming to Anuga 2019 along with its brands: Piensos Costa, Costa Food Meat, Casademont, Villar and La Nuncia.
Costa Food Group will present the launch of an innovative export catalogue for the processed meats sector while at Anuga. The presentation will comprise a wide array of novelties adapted to current market demand, while showcasing a clear focus on international markets. A great assortment will be presented in the fresh produce sector, alongside an updated image following the recent expansion of Costa Food Meat. This latter was achieved through the acquisition of a new production unit, increasing processing capacity and facilitating the Group’s access to new export markets, with a special nod to Asia.
For the very first time, all that is new about the Group will be revealed across two stands, located in halls 5 and 6. The new products for the BIO segment will also be making an appearance at the Anuga Organic Market.
This is all arranged within the framework of an expansion and concentration strategy within each of the segments and a clear focus on innovation through the development of natural products from the beginning. This is obtained through the Group’s vertical integration process, which runs the gamut from controlling the feed given to the livestock at their farms through caring for the animals and on to ensuring food safety from birth to rearing, and processing to creating top quality meat products and cold meats.
If you come to see either of the stands, you will find yourself viewing an innovative product catalogue in augmented reality, consolidating the Group’s investment in technology. This is a hyper reality experience which is intended to provide a more realistic view of the products from anywhere in the world.
Costa Food Group, a leading national and European figure, has in 2019 become the first ‘white’ pork producer to achieve the Animal Welfare AENOR Conform certificate for all their livestock farms (both their own and the integrated farms) for the entirety of the production process. This certificate is based on Welfare Quality®, the leading European animal welfare benchmark.
Anuga, the rendezvous par excellence for the worldwide agri-foods business, is celebrating its centenary this year endorsed by record numbers: some 7,000 exhibitors situated across some 284,000 square metres and an anticipated 160,000 visitors from over 200 countries. It is the perfect forum in which to present the renewed Costa Food Group internationalisation strategy.
